Hello all! I was doing a memory test on my daytona usa 2 twin machine...one of them is reporting a bad eprom. I cant seem to find info on it..or i am searching for the wrong thing..its stating that "ic.19 4df5 eprom" is bad. Im confused though...the game plays perfectly fine. No graphic issues...map issues...nothing. I do 2 player and everything is normal. Is it possible for this to have a bad eprom and be totally ok to work? Thanks :)

It's one of the 27C160 EPROMs on the ROM board that should be labelled "EPR 20863a". 4DF5 is the checksum/hash of the data calculated by the ROM check.

This EPROM holds code and data for the main CPU. Depending on which bit(s) are bad, the game may crash, glitch or continue to run normally.

Do you have the equipment to verify/reprogram the EPROM?

No sadly i do not. Ive run multiple races so far. 40 laps...2 player. Single player....all tracks and cars. Game runs flawlessly. No control issues...graphical issues....the only thing i cannot figure out is the coin chute. The lights dont light up and doesnt reapond to coins(i dont know if this is related...im not skilled in this aspect :p ). All other volumes and buttons IN the coin box work no problem. Test mode..service button...demag...all work
