it's been a couple years, before I knew what a potentiometer was or a 555 lamp or an IC, I was reading around the net looking for causes for why sound wouldn't play out the front channel on our Daytona USA 2 and while I learned that if the speakers are blown, it'll wipe out the amp ICs, I also ran across some other information regarding the sound output.
the subwoofer volume is tied into the rear speaker volume pot, which was a stupid design on Sega's part, cause all their other games with subs have separate volume pots. basically, to get any sub feedback, you have to shatter your eardrums by cranking the rear speaker volume. and the game is very high pitched and sounds so shitty without any bass.
some site that I went to had a guy that did a mod where they added a volume pot specifically for the sub. that was 2 years ago though, and I can't remember where I found it at.
so I was wondering if anyone out there has added their own volume pot to the subwoofer line, and if so, how did you do it? I don't wanna go scalping wires and breaking a game that works well that's been a royal pain in my ass since we got it.
thanks.
