Hi, I just purchased a twin Daytona cabinet. Having bad luck with it.

Cabinet 1 : powers up but with no audio.Steering wheel calibrates fine in the beginning, but when playing it goes berserk by itself.

Cabinet 2 : When powering up the steering wheel calibrates but thats about it. No audio and the monitor is grey with horizontal lines going across.

Now when I set the game to twin and cabinet 1 as the master, it just says checking network indefinitely . I know the network cables are corrected correctly. One thing I did notice is on Cabinet 1 where the 2 optical cables plug in,only one of them(the one on the right as if you are standing behind the seat) is lit up red.

The owner of the company I bought it from tried to walk me through some basic stuff, but his technician wont be available to call me till Monday possibly.I should of held out and bought locally, learned my lesson.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I just sold my twin daytona sitdowns. Try switching the optical cables around, for some reason on my setup it was opposite of what I was told by the previous owner. Did you open up both cabinets under the seats to make sure the audio board is all plugged in correctly?

Thanks for the response....

For the hell of it I switched the optical cables, still nothing.I have a feeling the 1 optical port on the master cab might be dead.Every optical port I've see on anything always lit up red when the device is powered on.Only one port does.

I opened up both seats ,and everything appears to be plugged in.

Make sure all the fans in the pcb cage area are working.
Overheating is a major issue with older Sega games.

One is a transmitter and one is a receiver. The receiver doesn't light up.

Don't know why this trips up absolutely everyone.
