I've been researching the Daytona particle clutch lately, hoping to find a cheap supplier, and I came across the Installation and Maintenance guide here http://www.ogura-clutch.com/files/pdfIMP/OPCinstallation.pdf
I have no understanding of particle clutches or how they work, obviously spraying lubricant on one was a bad idea :/ in the Pre-Running Process it says "Particles may become packed unevenly during shipping, so the following pre-running process is recommended to allow for even particle distribution before the unit is run at the full application requirements. This is for initial operation only."
I know it says initial operation only but would running this process have ANY effect on an old clutch? I'm asking because all mine are noisy and replacements are around $400.

Cheers
