I recently acquired I believe it's 1976 it's a daytona 500 EM machine I can't find any info about it really posted about it on fb but not a lot of info from those groups just a few people wanting to buy it and I have no idea how to determine a value to it. It's in decent shape buy it's all there nothing missing that I could tell

It's an obscure Allied Leisure machine, not many seem to have survived. There's not a huge market for EM arcade games like this, especially the driving ones as they become very repetitive, but I'm sure there's some demand considering the obscurity. Plus, there's very few EM arcade cockpit titles! That helps reduce the population, but also shrinks the group of people that might be interested, as it's a beast.
Good luck!

I would love to see more photos and/or video, especially internals.

That's all the pics I have of internals

Thanks for the pics! Only other thing I know is that Taito was selling these in Japan in 1976.
Good luck, are you going to restore it?

I was gonna tear it up and make a racing Sim but I didn't realize it was so complete so I don't think I'm the guy to restore it. That's one reason I was trying to determine a value cause I had a couple of people interested in it but I have no idea what it's worth

That is a Solid-State machine.

My guess would be around $200 as-is. It would take a lot to get it working again. What were the two guys offering you?

Idk the difference between solid state and EM that's just what I had been told it was. Idk why it would take a lot to get going again it powers on and lights up as it is but the transformer started to smoke so I unplugged it.

Solid State uses IC's. EM's use leaf switches and timing motors.

Can you do board level repair on something that is poorly documented? I am going on 2yrs on fixing a poorly documented project. That thing deserves to be working again. You just have to find somebody to adopt it.

Being that I said it works and powers on light up but the transformer starts to smoke so I would assume it needs a new one to work again idk if your missing me saying that or what. And I done said I had people interested in it and I didn't want to tear it up but you act like I said none of that so idk maybe ill strip it down and put my stuff in it

Please don't destroy it. You are only making enemies by coming to a preservation forum and saying you want to destroy a rare game

I started off saying I didn't want to mess it up I was just here for info but Mr rod knows all and don't read good or something I say it powers on and light up and everything is there and his response is it'll take a lot to get going. Then I say I have 2 people interested and he goes on about it need to work again I need to find someone to adopt which is what I said I was doing. I was trying to do the right thing since it was old and complete but people like rod that don't listen make me wanna say screw it. I was trying

One of these is in VAPS.

One.

Wow.

Preserve it. Post it in games for sale. Someone will grab it.

I am I've been in touch With a collector he is supposed to get it and restore it I wasn't trying to tear it up since I realized it was complete that was the whole reason I came here trying to make sure it was important to someone. I appreciate all history but not everyone that does is nice about it all the time

True. Trolls are unfortunately everywhere.

Agree. But I do appreciate those that are nice and were helpful with info. Definitely one of the cooler and apparently rarest things I've ever owned lol
