Tonight I actually had a chance to escape to the garcade and do an initial assessment on my new Omega Race. Here's what I was able to find out:
1. game powers up!
2. black light assembly (and original bulb) work fine
3. lower marquee assembly working
4. monitor working (monitor chassis has red light, screen has that light black color to it)
5. serial number is either 120 or 420 (I think it's 120)
6. the game's last stop before the person who sold it to me was an auction house in NJ
The upper marquee isn't working yet, but I think it's because I don't have the main and daughter boards for the game yet. It is a series of GE 194 bulbs (7 if I recall correctly while typing), not a fluorescent tube, which actually surprised me a bit. Even my Asteroids from 1979 has a tube up top.
It does not look like there is power getting to the coin door bulbs, as I switched one out and nothing happened. But this is way at the bottom of the list, so I'm not really worried about that just yet.
In short, it's been a good day one! Let's hope the further updates are as successful!
