Dave always talked about previously working for eldorado games fixing boards, I want to say the Guy he always mentioned from therge is George? Anyone know somebody at eldorado games to get the story on that? Maybe some interesting info can be gathered.

I do know George is one of the main (maybe the main) guy(s) at Eldorado. I don't know him personally.

I wonder what name "Dave" used?;)

Been 10+ years since I stopped by El Dorado but George was the guy that ran it, pain in the ass. Never fixed stuff on time, and wasn't cheap. This was when he was in Fullerton. I think he moved out of state.

Yep, they moved the entire setup to MO. I never understood why, but the circumstances seemed very suspicious. I know at one time they were in it pretty hot-n-heavy with P & L Video.....a lot of hate between the two.

I dont know about any history but all I can say is the guys at El Dorado games have been top notch in my book. I can write a 3 page thread on what they have done for me and it was the first time I used them. I dont do much business with them but they have gone above and beyond 2 times for me and all their repairs have been great and have stayed working.

I hate to even chime in on a thread like this and I really have no idea who the people that work there are but I felt like I should at least say something for what they have done for me.

i've never used Eldorado, a friend who is an op has, he says it's a bit pricey, but good work. I was really curious if anyone knew if Dave had robbed them, stolen, etc. since that seems to be his M.o.

They are pricey, but they havent failed me yet. Every time I try to save money something ends up bad so I dont usually have a problem paying a bit more. Its not my money anyway...:)

Fixed my 720 boards when nobody else would. No issues and quick. Price is relative as I don't sweat $50 here or there...I just want the job done.

you obviously were on the wrong side of fullerton. they have a very nice area with very expensive homes as well as a getto. its a pretty big city. i grew up in the city north of fullerton.

eldorado was in anahiem not fullerton, at least that is where they were the last 4 years before the moved back east.
There are plenty of good reasons to move from the dump that is Fullerton CA to another state.

Yes El Dorado used to be in Anaheim. I still talk to Eugene that still works for George. He was out here two weeks ago and grabbed a crossbow and cheyenne board of mine to fix. Eugene is a great guy and very knowlegable. When El Dorado moved he worked at Betson West in Buena Park doing board repairs. He has since moved close to El Dorados new location and currently does work for them. As far as Dave working for them I highly doubt it, if he did they would probably be out of business. I'm sure he dealt with them at one time or another because back then they had a shit load of parts and rare games.

i can't go into details, but i did get a PM that he did in fact work for them, and also stole a ton of shit when he left too.

I deal with John and his Dad regularly, they are somewhat local to me now.
Never a problem with PCB swap outs, kits or new small parts, but 2-3 weeks ago, John did tell me they are 120ish boards behind on PCB repair which he said could be years on new repairs. Idk?
