Has anyone heard from David at all in the last 2 weeks?????
I've sent him numerous e-mails and PMs' and have not received any responses to date regarding previous orders...........
Jeff

I think he has been busy dealing with the terrible rain and mudslides etc. out there. I'm sure he'll report back soon enough.

Hey Pat... you still offering to cover anyone who's dissatisfied with Dave? I ask because there seems to be quite a few bitching over at BYOAC... you might want to take your offer over there if you're lookin' for takers...

;)

Hey, Sam just learned this noise a week ago. If you ask him what a duck says, he will say "quack!". If you ask him what a cow says, he will say "mooooooo!" If you ask him what a lion says, he will say "wraaaaaaar!". Ask him what a cat says, he will say "meeeeeow!"

Its cute, but only cause he is 21 months old.

i talked to dave on Sunday night. he's been tied up with real work, and while i was chatting with him, he was assembling starwars yokes, he had just got more parts back from the powdercoaters. 720 sticks are 3rd in line to be released. lunar lander thrust controller is up next, as it has only 1 part that needs made to be complete. I need a 720 stick as bad as everyone else does.

i have offered to have dave ship me a crate of parts and i'll handle shipping, we will see where it goes. Frizz, did you receive your signs brother?

J.J. is scared of the cow sound. I MOOOOO and he cries... pretty much every time. He likes the doggie and kitty sounds though.

Not yet on the signs... mail lady should be here in less than 20 minutes though.

I don't mind if things fall behind because of "real work" or other issues it happens to all of us. But at least let us all know instead of having to hear it from a third party after several of your own attempts.

How can "DONE & SHIPPING" fall behind? What part of "DONE & SHIPPING" leaves enough opening to fall behind on? The dude has managed to be "DONE & SHIP" as single yoke to my knowledge... that is a FAR cry from "DONE & SHIPPING"...

I agree with one thing. Dave needs to stop bullshitting us and just lay it out on the line. WTF is going on... be honest... people have demonstrated that they are patient when people are being honest... cut the crap.

Sheesh...

EDIT: Oh...and the "DONE & SHIPPING" comment is coming real close to being 2 months old...

Well like someone else has said, complain and abuse the guy till he just decides it's not worth it to deal with all the bullshit making reproduction parts, and he'll just quit making them. Sure Dave has his Faults, he does own a large business doing something a bit more serious than arcade parts, and it consumes most of his time. He really can't pay someone to handle Ram controls, he has to do it himself and he does get way behind.

Applause. Lets not forget how important his hobby is to us.

I don't think anyone is abusing the guy. Everyone wants just a little communication so that they are not left in the dark for weeks on end wondering if they will get a product they purchased months ago. Just a simple "Hey guys I am backed up and its going to be a few more weeks on X item" Would go a long way with most of us here.

I think a few of the people that gripe about and criticize Dave the most haven't even ordered nor are waiting anything right now- they just like to have an opinion and complain. I guess that's the way internet forums work.
I don't like the waiting with no communication either. But, imagine how long the wait would be if Dave gets fed up and quits making the parts altogether. There is no way that someone else would invest the time and money to reproduce these parts.

This isn't a new development for projects on hobby forums. It happens across all hobbies and I've heard all of the same arguments on both sides. I, for one, am waiting for some 720 parts. I have no doubt that they will arrive...and Dave was very helpful and responsive when I placed my order 3 weeks ago. I have the utmost confidence in him, and respect for his abilities. However, I've seen the pics of all of the parts made...so there's no "assembly" or work needed...just get it to the P.O. Work and life get in the way...completely understandable. But I certainly hope he's not putting off shipping orders that he just has to chuck in box in favor of building a Star Wars yolk. If he can box up and ship 10 small orders for every 1 yolk made...well, he can do whatever he wants but...

Well got to step in here and remind people Dave has done alot for this hobbie, His parts are top of the line. Cut the guy some slack. His parts are well worth the wait:eek:

Well, I have $240 in for pre-orders of two I,Robot control panels and stickers.
From the site:
"PAYMENT MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE & ORDER WILL BE FILLED BY DECEMBER 15, 2009"
"
PAYMENT MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE & ORDER WILL BE FILLED BY JANUARY 30, 2010"
These dates have passed and it would be nice if he would at the very least update the site because obviously these dates are not going to make it since I have received nothing except one PM here regarding these projects. Not really complaining but it is what it is. If I knew it would take this long I probably would have just repaired my own panels which I was actually in the process of doing before I was notified about these projects and made a pre-order. So now this is slowing down my own projects. Live and learn I suppose.
