Dave @ Ram Controls and DPTwiz present...

Any ballpark on what these will run? Unbelievable work, guys. I'm salivating... And I think I spooged a little en mis pantalones.

ok, the price on these including All T-molding (uninstalled of course) and Casters will be 850.00 I can take preorders on this, and should have a part fitted mocked up machine in a little over a week to make sure everything fits, then i can start building them. I'll be caught up on orders in a little over a week as well, so don't be shy, PM me! Brett

How are you doing this? Do you have a CNC router or something?

Very nice indeed...

Going by the $850 price tag for the cabinet, you'd be looking at (based on pricing on Ram Controls website) around $1865 for the complete cabinet, all metal brackets, Amplifone tube and boards.. plus around another $500-$600 for side art..

$2400 - $2500 doesn't sound too bad to me for a brand new Star Wars Cockpit cabinet..

The kicker will be the Star Wars game PCB's..

oh - and that ThisOldGame have stated that the Marquee "will be be a very limited run and wont be available as a regularly stocked item due to licensing restrictions."

First things first. Very nice work!

2nd - So glad im not a fan of this game! :D And if i was, i dont have the basement setup for this to go down!

$850 shipped?? I was looking at the Star Wars Page on the Ram controls Website and it says. FREE SHIPPING ON ORDERS OF $500 OR MORE

These are ordered through me, as they are made here in Ohio, and shipped/picked up here! No, none of the Ram Controls deals apply to this situation.

Thinking about a kit option which includes no assembly? I think putting it together would be half of the fun - especially if that lowers the price point.

Your Pm was confusing, was this is for pick up only in OHIO, or will there be a set Shipping fee? It would prob be cheaper to ship as a Kit?

It sure looks nice. If its affordable I would be interested

Do ya'll hear that? Do ya?
That is the sound of a bunch of uprights getting ready to be raped for parts.

Wow !!!

by the time you add the artwork and all the new hardware, wiring harness, boards, monitor, etc. etc., machine is going to be up over the 3 Grand mark, not too many hobbyist can afford that!! You did a great job on the cabinet reproduction, hope it pans out for you.

...and turned into lounge chairs.

Regarding the price, it seems right about where I expected it. With all that wood and the time to assemble, I'm not sure it could get much cheaper.

And that's what you'd pay for a OEM cab, so with this puppy you get everything new and solid. Plus, it gives some people the option to go with a cockpit where they wouldn't even of had the option before. If you do it over time, it's not that bad. Hell, I have $2,500 into my Mame cab but it took 2 1/2 years to get it where it is today...

Guess it depends how anal a person is about originality, when people on this board start threads on "if all their serial numbers on their hardware matches", then I have a pretty good feeling that this setup is not going to be for everyone, I will wait to see photographs of the completed product before I make my final decision.

Hey Dave,

Furthermore, yes the monitor tubes (25" and 19") are both in process. I put a very sizable down payment to get this job done with a Korean company some time ago.

What's the dot pitch on the 19" tubes going to be ?

There aren't really that many parts from an upright that will work on a cockpit. I really doubt very many uprights will be sacrificed. Not many people will have the room or money for a cockpit.
