Has anybody been to Dave and Busters ? Its an Adult Chucky Cheeses . Redemption games, and state of the art video games.

yeah, we've had one for probably 20 years.. i think they are okay.. i am not into a lot of the newer games and they dont have that many classics.

yeah, i go to the one near me every now and again..... chrissy likes the redemption games, they have that trivia whiz game that's pretty fun to play as well. i usually just play the huge monitor multigame for the williams love, or the mspac/galaga dk/dkjr/mario games.

I haven't been for a while, but there is one in Milipitas, CA (South Bay) that I go to. One side has the restaurant, they have a pool hall, bar in the center and the other side is all new games and redemption games. The only game I really enjoy is Mario Kart GP2. I think they've phased out any classics they may have had. I could be wrong though.

we are just now getting one around here, (30 miles from here ) didnt knowif they were any good

It's a bit expensive for games. You have to load up your card with points and play games by swiping your card, no quarters. Mainly shooters, driving, and redemption games. I don't know if they plan on doing anything different for a brand new location. Cool place to hang out and have a drink, but not the best place to go for an arcade in my opinion.

The D&B in NYC (on 42nd St.) has ZERO pinball machines. Which means I'll never set foot in the door again.

I have been to the one in San Antonio before. There are tons of stuff, but minimal classics. However, I do recall D&B having a Ms Pac/Galaga, DK/DK Jr/Mario Bros, and Centipede/Millipede/Missile Command/Bowling combo cabs.

If you want to play a deluxe version of a game, D&B is a good place to go. Miliptas has a 3 screen f355 and a rowe of daytonas.

I went to the one in Silverspring MD, a few months ago. I wasn't really impressed. Like it has been said before, a lot of drivers and shooters. No pins, and really nothing that I felt the need to play and overpay on. Well at least the drinks were free, haha.

I went to one last October for my 20th high school reunion. Food was average, and the beer was not ridiculously expensive. The games were all newer type with no classics whatsoever. It was an OK place for a reunion, but I would never go there for a night out with my friends.

The one here has pretty much the same, but did have one pinball, and a Super Chexx. I used to go fairly frequently during lunch when I worked downtown, but I rarely go now.

The one in Westlake? Sure there not TRUE classics but did you not see the multi williams showcase, the namco anniversary, the newer DK combo?

Yes it was the Westlake one. I looked around, but did not see any of the ones you mentioned. I would have played them if I did.

This is my biggest complaint about D&B and for the life of me I don't get why they don't
have any. It is geared toward an older crowd so you'd think they'd have at least a few.

Same reason most other gamerooms don't have them... because they break every 10 minutes.

Wade

When they opened the dave & Busters near me, it was actually a "Jillians", I believe it was the same company all along but they've since changed to the dave and busters name at this location. I think it was 7 or 8 years ago now, and they've got a line of Daytona's, huge cockpit versions with big screens (I think most of them have this). On the weekends when they first opened, you could go there and they actually had people standing in line to play EACH car, and there was a girl selling beers out of a tub behind the 8 cars (across the walkway), with a guy standing beside her with a microphone CALLING the race. So while they're racing, he's going "Car #3 just had a back wreck in the second turn, here comes car #7, the blue car around the outside and OH HE JUST BARELY MISSED HIM" and things like that half the night. This is in Concord, right down the street from the Charlotte speedway so I dont' know if they only did that here because of the race track or not, but it was something to see. Pretty cool idea and they literally had people standing in line 5 or 6 deep on 8 cars to play next. Expensive as hell, too.
