Just picked up one of these Eprom burners a few days ago. Didn't have a power supply for it.
Anyone know if the supply feeds 24v AC or DC to the unit?
If DC what is the polarity of the plug, IE inside + outside - ?

Thanks for any info.
Wanting to get started playing with Eproms.

If you take the top off the unit you can tell pretty quick if it's AC or DC input. Look for a bridge rectifier or set of diodes to convert the AC to DC. If those aren't there it'll be DC input.

If it's DC then you can generally look at the traces for the jack to tell if it's positive or negative tip.

Didn't want to tear into it, but to be sure sounds like that's the best overall choice.
Beats blowing it up.
I'll dig into it tonight when I get to the house.

Thanks

Took it apart and it appeared to have diodes there that would have made it half wave AC and then appeared to go to a filter circuit. Even though the manual says ac/dc input, I opted to go with the safer method and rigged up a 24v power supply which after putting diodes on it, now puts out DC with the tip of the plug being positive.
Seems to power up OK.
