I've got a DE Last Mission which just constantly loops the power-on test mode (which shows everyhing OK).
My first step was a visual once-over, at which point I noticed that the 8751 (microcontroller, with onboard EPROM?) was missing (@A/B 18). According to MAME, this is used for "protection" and coinage. I'm thinking its lack may be the reason it won't fully boot.
But MAME also shows "no dump" for it. Anyone know if it's possible to program an 8751 for Last Mission? Or if there's any known work-around? (or is this a parts PCB?)
