Just wondering if anyone else has these as the majority of their collection? Mine currently are:

CSI
IJ 4
Starship Troopers
Royal Rumble
Gun's n Roses
Time Machine

I have a deal pending for Last Action Hero and Viper Night Drivin
I also had my eye on a Jurassic Park the other day when I picked up my Time Machine.

Am I the only one that seems to be favoring data east/sega/stern in their collection?

Here are some pictures I posted in the "pictures" thread...

I'd love to add Starship Troopers and Jurassic Park to the mix too. :)

have one Williams and one Gottlieb, rest are DE/Sega

I like them more than Bally/Williams/Gottlieb personally

have

DE: Star Wars
GoldenEye
South Park
Batman Forever (this is a restore job I picked up, needs a lot of love)

Look at my sig. I used to have all W/B games. Some would say I need help.

Out of my 25 pins, 10 are Stern/Sega/DE

My Sterns are:

TSPP
Spidey
LOTR
Avatar LE
Transformers LE
Elvis
Family Guy

Segas:

Apollo 13
Goldeneye

My lone DE is Tommy.

The rest of my pins are Bally/Williams....oh, and one Gottlieb (Super Mario) until I sell it. :)

I've always had predominately non-Bally/Williams pins, but as time goes by, they're thinning out in favor of B/W.

I sold my Data East Simpsons a little while back so I could get The Getaway, and for my next acquisition, Revenge from Mars, I have sold my Freddy and will be trading in my X-Files.

Good swaps. Since games like Getaway are about the same price as a DE Simpsons...it's just more bang-for-the-buck.

I had to add a little extra cash to the money I made from my Simpsons to snag The Getaway. I guess some would say I over-paid at $1,600, but it was in very nice condition, had just been shopped out, and had a new DMD installed.

Heh... you're one of the reasons we gave Freddy AND X-files a try. :) We're still thoroughly enjoying them so I have no plans on moving on just yet. Loved your old website btw.

Hehe. That's awesome! Thanks!

Ya know, I never grew to dislike either of those pins, and will certainly miss them. I just ran out of room (and hobby funds), and figured it was worth moving the collection forward in quality -- at the expense of those pins that I could probably live without.

I plan to do that with my collection until I have nothing but machines that are absolute keepers. I guess that's when I'll be sort of "finished"...well, until I get more room, anyways. ;)

Super looking arcade, by the way!

im right with ya. i like the non cookie cutter pins too.

If it's fun and you like it - what else matters. I had a random guy Email me and offer me pretty decent money for my Goldeneye the other day...and part of me was like "Hmm...I probably could never get this much for this game, I should sell it" ...and then I went and played it again and was like "Bah...this game is rad...I'm keeping it" :)

I hear ya, Rare.

Other than this Twister I've been restoring for over a year (and just about have finished up), I'd have a real tough time cutting any of my other non-Bally/Williams games loose.

Jurassic Park, Frankenstein, Pinball Magic...ugh. It'd be tough to lose any of those.

I just got this DE. Liking it alot so far.

Pinball Magic is fucking rad! I wouldn't mind stumbling across one of those one day. I always kinda wanted to Frank, too...believe it or not, the large-DMD Sega I want the most is Baywatch...lol. I've had the chance to buy it a few times, but it's always a bit too much. I like Baywatch, but I want it cheap like the rest of my Segas...hehe. I had JP, I got sick of it really quickly...don't like the sound in that game, and the gameplay is too much like Lawlor games I own and I'd rather play those. Dino is cool, tho.

While I seem to have mostly Bally / Williams machines in the base, ment, I really enjoy some games from the other manufacturers too.

I'd LOVE to find Time Machine, Phantom of the Opera, or Apollo 13 locally for a decent price. I likes some of the older Premier / Gottlieb games too. Lighta, Camera, Action,. TX Sector,. Hot Shots, etc.

I think it's good to have diversity and the random odd game in the basement. That's why Hyperball is down there :) Well, for now.

Chris

The only game that fits is my ID4, I had an Apollo 13 that I really miss and wish I didn't sell, but I hope to get another one eventually. I also want a DE Simpsons, a stern RCT, and a few others I can't think of right now. I have never been for a specific company, more so if a certain game plays well and I keep coming back to play, then it is a game I would buy.
