The right flipper is no longer working. The two wires that were connected to the coil were touching and this was causing the fuse to blow on the flipper circuit board on terminal F1. Left flipper coil voltage is at 3.3ac and now the right flipper is reading 0 volts and instantly blows the fuse as soon as you hit the flipper.

Any help on how to fix this or what parts I would need to order would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Remove one leg of the diode, test diode resistance. Also ohm out the coil. Chances are you blew the diode/s and possibly ruined the coil.
I've never worked on a DE but don;t those things have flipper boards?
If so then you need to check the associated TIP transistor while you're at it.

more info

I will be sure to check all of your suggestions when I get home. One of the wires was loose and I did my best to reconnect it but I did not have any solder but will pick some up tomorrow. When I put a new fuse in the flipper worked the second I hit it but then it wouldn't work after that. Also this is for a lethal weapon 3 pinball. When the game starts up you can change the music by hitting the left or right flipper button and that still works. Not sure if that means anything or not.

what he said, but instead of checking the tip 36c ....REPLACE it, you burned it up thus making the right flipper useless

Thanks so much for all of your help!

I believe it is in his home.

I've placed nine orders with him in the last six months and never had a problem. If you have any questions, search with the following terms on RGP: GPE, Ed Krzycki, and Great Plains Electronics.

Not to be stupid but i got mine off ebay for cheap. I would agree to check the diode but it is probly the tip you need to replace. these evedently are notorious for going bad.
