Hi -

You requested a pinball plastic that I was offering for free. I can not find the PM where I got your address, but I got the following in the mail today :(

Looks like it is MIA :(

I don't remember what I sent you, but I want to try to replace it if I can.

Please PM me.

Thanks,
Chris

BTW - I can't believe you sent a plastic in a regular envelope where it could get cracked. Even if it's free. Charge $2 and use a padded envelope at least...

All the others arrived fine. They were mostly speaker cutouts that are far more durable then a slingshot plastic.

Live and learn, I have sent alot of them with no issue before.

Chris

Gawd, I hate those plastic post office "we're sorry" envelopes. That was why I switched to doing as many of my bills online as possible.

The Darren that just opened up the pinball arcade is in Austin, Texas. Not San Antonio.
If you need to get in touch with Darren in Austin, I have his email address, street address and maybe his phone number.
If you need it, pm me and I will send it to you.

Darren is dc2010 in San Antonio. He's been on already today, but obviously didn't see this...

I agree with you, but looking at the envelope, it's not like the part poked out a corner or something. Clearly the P.O. fucked this one up.

Either way, kudos to the OP for trying to fix a freebie deal.

Yeah, but it's pretty easy for someone (postal worker?) to feel something in a regular envelope, wonder "what is that?", "accidentally" rip it open, think, "cool!" and return the empty envelope as "damaged". Harder to do with a padded envelope...

It is more likely for the bump from the plastic to catch on something when the letter is going through the automated sorting machines and rip open. Of course all you ever get back is the envolope since they don't try to figure out where the stuff that is loose came from.
