Darksoft's Neo Geo Multi Cart Youtube Video

Looks great, in for one when it becomes available.

how is this different/better than a 161 cart (yes, please explain it to me like i'm 5 lol)?

for starters it looks like it has all of the mvs games on one cart the current multi carts are missing games. Also a lot of the multi carts currently have terrible emulation/graphic issues/sound issues on a lot of games, with this being a dark soft product I suspect all of those issues are taking care of.

Price will be about $400 and comes in an original plastic shell that has been refurbished.

The 161 in one does not have all of the Neo Geo library on it, and this will. Plus, and more importantly, there is no emulation, as it loads the original roms onto the original hardware and plays exactly like the originals.

Also, you can delete games as well, which you cannot do with the 161 in 1.

And the menu also blows away the one in the 161 in 1 as you can see in the video above.

Darksoft and Mitsu are great guys and have great customer service as well.

Ewwwwwwwwwww this is nice. Just about finishing my Neo Geo 4 slot soon.

Then you will have a 6 slot as the Multi adds a total of 3 slots...

You could add 4 multi's and have a 12 slot! Or get a 6 slot and have an 18 slot!

:D

Multi carts don´t use emulation as they need the original MVS mobo , they have a ton of memory and just load and swap the roms .
They do have a ton of hacks and not one has all the games but they play pretty much flawless .

Just because a cart uses an original motherboard doesn't mean they don't use emulation.

No compatibility issues with a 4 slot mobo like the current multi-in-1?

While I can't comment on that as I do not know, I would assume that the problem is with the 161 cart, so my guess is that there would be no issues...

Two questions...

1. Any idea when this is going to be released?

2. How will this compare the the NeoSD? Pros and cons?

I'm not a member of the Neo Geo forums or the Darksoft forums, so any quick summary would be helpful here. Thanks.
