I don't really know anything about it but it looked cool enough to pick up. Who can tell me something about it?! Pics coming soon!

Very cool game. Must be seen to be appreciated! Be VERY careful with the glass. They have been backlit for a long time and can easily flake. This game was VERY close to appearing on my last page of my Grails book, but doesn't have as large of a fan base as the others did.

That's awesome! This one only has 7,000 plays. It won't power on though. What's a working one worth?

nice pickup. Very cool and very rare. I think one was recently at cax. Other than that, I have not seen one sice the 80's.

I would think its worth $500+ if its nice. I think I got a pcb for one many years ago to dump the roms for mame. I probably still have it somewhere in a box.

Here are pics of one that was on ebay a few years back.

I didn't bid on it and have been kicking myself ever since.

Nice score! :)

Thanks! That one looks nice. Do you remember how much it sold for?

Super rare, and very underappreciated game!

I saw a Dark Planet once in 1983. I've never seen one since.

Awesome pickup!

That's a nice list but if I were to trade it I would probably trade it for a pinball. My wife has been begging me for one. Thanks for the offer though! I might consider selling but this game is really cool.

Trading never really works out as $300+ each in shipping usually kills the deal. Unless your within driving distance, your best bet would be to sell to someone willing to pay shipping and then buy a pin local. Plus its always better to play a pin before you buy it. Working and working right are 2 different things..

Getting enough money for a pin might be doable. Pins sell from $400-$10k+. You can probably find a good multiball pin in the $750-$1k range and a better dot matrix pin in the $1k-$2k.

Great find. I used to play it a lot back in the arcade days. I don't think I've seen one since except for CAX. I have never seen the inside of one before, but you say it won't power up. Just going by pictures of a game I've never seen the inside, but where is the game board? That whole back area is empty. Is the game board in another part of the cabinet?

I would bank on a slide out lower drawer like a dedicated double dragon. You can see wires going below the wood divder from the back. The front has a key below the coin door. Looks like a slide out tray.

You are correct. The game had a slide out lower drawer so all the boards are under that piece of plywood. I don't have a key for the lower drawer so I guess I'll have drill out the lock.

Nice find! From what I remember, Lloyd had one available in his warehouse years ago. I'm not sure who ended up with it.

I got the lock off the lower door without drilling it out. I was able to get my hand through the hole in the board in the back and unscrew the lock and pop it off. I'll post pics of the internals later. I had to head out before I could take pics.
