How does one get to the neon bulbs in the speakers to figure out what's going on with them. Any help on how to disemble this large cabinet?

I never had a problem with them, but I think I'd start looking for screws on the underside of the cabinet on the trim.

Generally, the neon either lets out the neon gas, or the HV source dies. It's basically a transformer which kicks up the voltage to excite the neon.

Here is one thread that indicates caps and diodes.

Here is the manual. Look on Page 48, I think it shows what you need.

Thank you thank you. I have a manual that came with it but it was either missing pages or not the right one. This certainly wasn't in it. I got to the neon but I couldn't figure out how to get behind it now I see that that whole unit basically comes out!!! Awesome thanks!

On the plus side, you didn't just guess and break something. When in question, stop and get help.

Well done!
