I received my shipment from Bob Roberts today. This is how I received it, was between my screen door and entry door. I don't think this is what caused this.

Here's a package I got from Bob Roberts back in 2002.
Even though it was smashed pretty good nothing was damaged.

Late last summer I had a shitty ebayer send me some marquees that were originally in great shape at a steal. Really half assed the shipping because they were obviously trying to cop an extra few bucks. Literally taped two priority boxes together with 1 piece of tape that barely went around the whole box. Also they had a thin sheet of bubble wrap in there like it would be of any help. It wasn't the UPS fault since the seller did the worst packing EVER!

But they tried to play it off like it wasn't because of their shitty packing. Then goes on to blame it on some temp guy who was working at his shop who did the shoddy packing. Either way I was refunded, but what a waste of time. However, I did sort of win in the end because with super glue, I fixed the broken end of the CE marquee, and you can't tell really that the corner broke off. But the TURBO marquee is plain as day that there is a spider web crack in it.

My 2 cents worth

- If the item is not fitted into the box the right way in the box and generally has no support to withstand the delivery guys abuse it will fail.

- Use bubble wrap and brown paper (Lowes - < $10 a roll) to make sure there is little to no dead space in the package.

- Reuse or use new boxes to go in boxes for more support for the smaller items.

- Use zone rate boxes and save money. (A - 15lbs max, B - 20lbs Max and C - 25lbs Max

- Use the game board Box for long PCB's

- I also buy smaller boxes online to use the First Class option through PayPal's shipping page. FLAT rate is not the only option -- It is often the easy / lazy option.

- Compare rates between USPS and PayPal every now and then - There can be small differences.

- Buy a scale and Print from home - If you are handing the Post Office clerk money -- They win and you / buyer are losing Money. (Higher fees, Delivery Confirmation, Tracking)

- Use your reward / Debit card to pay and build up points for whatever promotional program you are in. My bank allows me to cash in my points for gift cards (Old Navy, etc....)

This isn't really a damaged package but i figured i would share this.

This ebay seller took 2 Medium Flat Rate Boxes and shoved one inside the other to make the box slightly longer. The board inside cost more than $100 on auction, and i got stuck paying the extra $2.55 before i could take ownership of the package. to boot there was 0 filler material in the box so the board could have a mini dance party inside. (it was a preemptive facepalm moment)

to the shipper: I hope you can see this because i'm doing it harder than ever before.

I've had CPS2 games come in like that :/. Hope yours wasn't a loose board at least.

Ahh yes, late night tv.. Always your friend..

Not to get off course my recent KI2 board (not the KI boards that chips4sle sold) has come in and looks like it was a little beat up. I flipped out and rushed home to make sure everything was in tact. We all know how brittle these PCB's can be.

Despite the two "Fragile Please Handle Carefully" Stickers on it, it still ended up looking like someone sat on the box.

Luckily the shipper did a great job at protecting the PCB and hard drives.

Game works with no problems!

I tend to keep a lot of the bubble wrap and packing peanuts etc that are sent with packages. It helps when storing the PCB's (since I don't have enough room or cabinets) and for future use when I ship items. I can make sure that everything is well packed and protected from abuse.
