Dallas SuperAuctions 3/13/2010

If it worked fine I think the SF2 at $200 was a very good price. Had I had extra cash and actually gone I would've bid on it for certain.
The SF2 didn't work during preview. But when it was up for bid, it was working. When I got it home, it wasn't working. Culprit? Loose wire inside of the electrical plug. I'll replace the whole cord rather than go with another plug replacement.

Now that I've got it working, it plays great. Looks like I'll keep it for a while. Even if I did sit out that entire genre of game after getting my ass handed to me too many times.

That's cool.I'll find me a dedicated SF2 sometime soon.

I thought it was weird that it wasn't powered up for the preview at all, but they made sure to note that the key was available at the desk. I missed the auctioning of your game, so I never saw it turned on.

Glad you got it and it only needs a little work to get it up and running.

Japanese Skill Stop ($75) - Surprise! For a change, I actually came to the auction wanting to get one of these. Wait... was I supposed to get keys with that, or... well, guess it doesn't matter. I've got to drill the lock.

Look at the bottom of the cab for a huge factory cut hole. You can reach up inside it and trip the latch to open it. ;)

It beats drilling out the lock.

You'll have to introduce yourself to me next time. I'm the guy in the blue windbreaker jacket (who hadn't shaved in 2 weeks) that was bidding on the junk boards. My kid was the one riding the scooter.

Yeah we need to do a group breakfast or something at the next auction so all the forum members can get together and finally meet each other.

I don't think I could ever get there early enough to eat breakfast. :(

By the time I usually get to the auction they've started the bidding on the first game of Multicade row.

That's a great idea! There's a Whataburger down the road and they serve good fast food breakfast burritos.

It was nice to meet you and put a face to the name at the auction! I'm the guy that Pat introduced you to.

I spoke with the woman who bought the Qubert and the Ms.PacMan. She is buying them for a bar and takes in consideration how much she is going to make on them so while her price may be high the investment ends up being relatively small.

She is super nice but you definitely don't want to have to bid against her. But at least she is not a shill bidder. Unfortunately I think a couple of the shill bidders tried playing her towards the end.

The bar is here in Dallas its really bad ass check it out, she said they are currently opening one in Houston.

That bar does look badass! If I had known about it, I might have swung by after TPF. I'll keep it in mind the next time I'm up Dallas way.
