I went briefly and it was bigger than usually but not many classics. I saw a Popeye Cocktail, and a Asteroids UR. I didn't stay long so I could have missed something. Anyone see what the Water Bumber Boat went for? I head it had a 900 dollar reserve. Would have love to have that on my pond. I told my wife and she said I would have been ok with you staying for that LOL.

I may take some games next time. I didn't feel like it this time.

The "boat" was passed. He would have taken $5 for it.

While we have this thread open, here are some pics from the auction. It was mostly the backruptcy auction for a couple of large arcade type facilities. I heard different rumors that they were from Oklahoma and various places in Texas (Dallas, El Paso and Lubock were the places I heard most often). I didn't bother to ask the auctioneers so I don't knwo where they were from. Most of it was late model, very few classics. Some looked like they were fresh out of the box. Most went cheap. Some went real cheap.

The only two classics on the floor:

The Joust was flashing 1-3-1 and the screen was orange, so it had issues. The Ms Pac was not too bad, but certainly not in great shape. I heard that it had some joystick issues. Never tried it so I couldn't tell. The Joust went for $175, IIRC. No idea on the Ms Pac.

Alexcc got the GDL on the left, it has some monitor issues, so he got it cheap. I got the one on the right which plays perfectly, almost as cheap.

I'll post more later.

If anybody knows of an accidentally picked up Candy Crane, it is mine. It was such a madhouse at loading time that I didnt know it wasnt on the trailer till I was home. They gave us this "Ya got three hours to get the fuck out" BS, (yes this was yelled out by a Super Auctions employee) and then only had one guy doing all the paperwork. I wasnt able to load games till 2 hours of the three had passed. (by myself I might ad) So, I staged all of the games outside next to the trailer, so I wouldnt have to hear their BS. I am thinking that in all of that craziness someone accidentally grabbed the crane thinking that it was one of their items to load, not looking at the numbers. This was all at 1-2AM in the dark parking lot also. Hopefully it wasnt picked up by a disreputable gamer. There were only three candy cranes if I remember right, and I got all three. My auction number was 140, and the crane was $250. Ill get the lot number later.

Sorry to hear this. I hope you get it back but chances are it might be long gone. :(

Racer, sorry to hear that. It was a zoo towards the end. That's why I started early. I checked out at 11 ish and started moving my things out. With helping DC and Alex I didn't hit the road until midnight anyway.

I didn't remember seeing you there, but then I didn't see several other people who said they were there at times either. We need to wear badges or something so we can make it easier to meet up and so we don't end up bidding against each other.

Yeah, we really do need some badges or shirts or something.
Glad you made it back ok Ken.
I was worried about you driving back so late.

Please tell me its going to cost you a fortune to haul those Gauntlet games back to Houston!

Considering I paid $275 and Alex paid $25 and Ken you paid...

I'm such a newb!!!

OK, just to humor you, it is costing an F*ING ARM & A LEG! :D (it really isn't, Noel has excellent rates for hauling cabinets).

I didn't see which one you bought (there were only 5 there, 4 Dark Legacy and 1 Legends), but mine was the last one in the second to last row. The one that worked perfectly and kept getting unplugged. I paid about half of what yours cost, maybe a little less figuring tax and buyer's premium.

I think I could have been able to get the GDL on the truck, but at the last second I realized that I would have to get it off the truck all by myself . That thing has got to weigh 500 pounds at least. There was no way I was going to try that by myself, so I cut a deal with Noel to deliver it.

Glad you made it back ok Ken.

Not a problem, but thanks for the concern. I am a night owl anyway and my wife claims that I have an overactive truckers gene (we used to drive from Denver to Las Vegas for weekends...:)).

Nice grab. Mine was a Gauntlet Dark, other then the T-modeling mine was pretty much mint, there's not even a scratch or scuff on the front kick plate. The buttons and joysticks look new as does the control panel.

But for half the price I would take some nicks and scratches! LMAO

Live and Learn. Next time I will prepare to spend the night!

I only bid because I played it and it was perfect.

Plus I wanted to piss off the guy that kept unplugging it. I wasn't going to let him have it for $50. Bastard took the power cord the last time so they couldn't fire it up when they went to auction it off. He probably guessed right that when they got to it if the cord wasn't there the auctioneer would just give the usual "It was working 100%.......when it was new" line and start the bidding rather than wait and find a cord.

ken

SO THATS WHERE MY POWER CORD WENT!!

It was on when they auctioned it off then my power cord disappeared!

Good for you KEN!
