Howdy,

I recently acquired a non-working Desert Hunter. I'd like to repair it, but I don't understand how it works. It's not clear to me how the game registers a hit from the rifle. A metal plate has fallen to the base of the rifle and I'm wondering if this is the problem.

Does anyone have one of these games (https://www.arcade-museum.com/Arcade/desert-hunter), and if so, any idea how it's supposed to work?

Thanks!
Dave

We need your pictures. An EM game uses a movable peg across a brass rivet table. Some games use a photo cell.

Thanks for this reference point! The good news is power is running through the unit, no obvious switch issues, fuses good. I just don't understand how this is supposed to work. In the photo below, the motor on the right seems to be a timer for the game length. The motor on the left doesn't seem to be doing anything. Trying to track down a schematic to determine how this is supposed to work.
