My rush 2049 does not like the d9400 monitor. It says no signal on the screen, but the game pic is running in the background.

Anyone know if there is a fix for this? I know the monitor works fine with my ultracade in vga mode..

If you can get the menu up, do a factory reset. that sometimes helps when it won't run in one mode but will in another...

Thanks for the tip. I have not tried to change resolutions on the vegas board, so I am not sure it will work in medium rez. I just know it works in vga as thats what ultracade was set to. I will try to mess with it this weekend. I will also try hooking it up to rush #2. maybe it will be happy with that boardset.

Check the sync board for bad connections first.
and confirm the OSD does come up.
Caps could be a problem but not a big deal with this chassis.
I wouldn't reset to factory setting unless i thought my eprom
was corrupted and if it was i would replace it. the factory settings
are not exactly the best adjustments for the monitor
only a start for making adjustments.
and if i was going to reset it i would enter into the factory menu
and copy down the data value first, so i could bring them back
after replacing the eprom.
It not only brings the color or gamma setting to basic setting it throws
off the geometry, trapzoid.pin balance, pincushion, tilt screen and more
and will have to readjust them all.the factory is using certain test screens
not game play for adjustment, most shop don't have this kind of
equipment..Hi current parts are likely to fail not low current parts from my experince
The Mosfet switching transistors i would suspect after soldering
connections and resetting plugs around the board.
Location may be q216 and q217 or the two transistor next to each other
on small heatsinks near the front right of chassis and a leaky predriver trans before them
with correct sync pulse the micro decides what feq the set needs to be and the
small transistor before it like Q210.q211,q212,just parts to check
the chassis should cover most games resolutions so if it doesn't
some parts have failed. Good Luck with the repair!

ok, I got the 2 rush cabs and swapped video cables and had the same result. Picture in the back ground and no signal is in the center of the screen. This time it looks like its having a sync lock issue. Picture was rolling like no sync when it was calibrating the controls. But when its running, the pic almost locked(vertical was off and a little up)

The cable to the d9400 I am pretty sure is pinned 1-4 and 6(It worked fine like that with the d9200 until the monitor died). The other rush has a kortex monitor in it. I am not exactly sure how its pinned, but its 1 connector(d9400 is the 10 pin version). I swapped video at the 6 pin molex to not mess with the different cables.

I tried to get the on screen display to come up on the d9400, but it would not. Holding button on the remote board did not make a menu come up. Maybe it needs a signal for the menu to work?

Yes it does. You may try setting it to a different res mode and hooking up a different game and see if you can get into the menu. Once you do, a factory reset may make this res mode work again...
