D9200 snap/image shrinks for a moment

Would you say your snapping issue is fully/permanently fixed? I ran into what sounds like the exact same problem on my D9800, and it seemed to also be after doing a cap kit, though I can't say with certainty that the cap kit caused it. I never got a clear "it's the flyback" but that's definitely what I was thinking. I was on the verge of sending it to arcadecup because flys are unobtanium (but Chad says he can get them). But because the snapping for me would happen typically once in around 10 minutes, and it's so easy to not even notice, I figured I should do a video recording. I spent about 2 hours watching it with my phone recording and it coincidentally stopped at that point, and has been running fine since. I'm assuming it'll come back at some point but I figured until it does, there's no point in sending it to arcadecup because how would he even know if he's fixed it? If I could get a working fly myself, I'd swap it in myself.

Anyway, because your and my symptoms seem to match up, I found this interesting and am glad it appears you solved it. Here's my thread btw: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/d9800-clicking-glitches-mostly-working.495890/

Before replacing the flyback, it'd occur anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes of being on. After, I had it on for a hour straight with no issues. I can only assume the flyback was on the verge of failure, and a recap pushed it to that. I also at one point thought it was the recap itself, which it kind of was in a way.

The old flyback anode was really dirty, so I cleaned it up and put some dielectric grease on it. I thought it had fixed at first, but unfortunately it did not.

Since I'm still fixing the new issues, I have yet to leave it on for a few hours to make sure it's rock solid, but I'm fairly certain that problem is solved.

Exactly what I did at first too. I was getting a little arcing/crackling, but it didn't solve the occasional snapping issue.

Subscribing to your thread because I'll be very interested to see how your fly replacement solution turns out over time, once you run it enough to have confidence. Good luck on your other issues!
