Here are some pics of my D9200 I got recently. All the rings are cracked, and I have a new yoke and rings coming....but after reading a lot of stuff, I'm worried that this might not fix my problem. This monitor wont deguass via the control pcb (everything else works on it)...and I ordered a degausser. Can anyone tell me if the new yoke and rings will fix this problem, or degaussing it? Or is this tube fucked....
I already re-capped the whole damn thing (like 40 caps)

heres some pics...

As you can see. the middle looks good, but the left and right are extreamly red/green.
Any info would be great. But any "dude your tube is fucked" is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I would bet dropped and shadowmask inside the tube is messed up.

You can probably make it better by putting magnets along the edges.

I was just playing around with a magnet and I almost got the color back to normal. If i start in the middle and quickly run it to the side, it pulls the red or green to the edge and PRESTO!!! But there are still some residual. Does anyone have a better method for this or will a proper degausser do the trick?

I doubt degaussing it will fix it..

Your going to need to buy some of those magnetic strips and place them on the back to make it somewhat right if you are determined to use the tube.. Not sure where to get those strips. but if you search, I am sure you can find them.

I've already had some great success just screwing with speaker magnets. I'll post more pics after the storm. Had to pack everything up Justin Case.
