*UPDATE* Now i just get scrolling vertical image. According to troubleshooting guide, i should change ic403, r312, r314. Will update when i do that.

I just got a d9200 that had a little vertical fold over at the bottom 2 inches of the screen. I read from a ken layton post which caps to change, and sure enough, one of the 3 he mentioned was blown.

While doing that, i noticed IC101 (I believe its ic101 since the schematic only shows ic101 as socketed) wasnt seated properly, about to come out, and tons of dust in there. So i popped it out, cleaned the socket, and put it back in.

Now when i power on the monitor i get a high pitch squeal like its out of sync and keeps trying. If i remove the CGA/EGA - VGA pin header it goes to the "NO SIGNAL" screen with some background red noise static stuff behind the "NO SIGNAL". That static stuff is coming from the signals i am feeding the monitor, because when i remove it, it goes away.

I tried a CGA/EGA/VGA signals on both inputs (VGA and MULTI PIN HEADER), no dice.

No reading it appears i may have corrupted the memory by removing the IC. Ive seen posts about trying to get to the factory menu with "DOWN" and "SEL" and do a recall, but i cant get that to come up.

Anyone have anything else to try?

Thanks!

What is your input signal? CGA? Try an EGA or VGA signal. Sometimes it'll only sync to one signal. If you can get it syncing at all, even if it's syncing wrong, you should be able to get into the factory menu. I can't read, sorry :/

On a related note, where's your remote board? 9200 remote boards are goofy and its lack of presence can blow an IC.
