Hey guys. I recently purchased a D9200 chassis that was advertised as working. It DOES turn on and all that, but only displays "No Signal/Out of Range." I have tried the VGA input and the CGA input with the connector on the board hooked up to the appropriate selection, and I still have nothing. Is this a common problem or am I missing something? The troubleshooting chart just says I have a bad chip. Doesn't really say much beyond that. When I use VGA, I lose the "No Signal/Out of Range" message for a second or so, like it is trying to display something, then it just comes back. Please help!

iirc theres 2 buttons ont he remote board you have to hold down to access the facroty settings page. Once there you can do a master reset.. that usually takes care of it.

Hopefully mod will chime in, i think hes the expert on this one.

I have a 9200 that won't save settings. I have 3 of those evil pieces of machinery. actually 2, the other one hasn't given me any problems... yet.

I forget the exact procedure, probably can search for it on here, but I think you hold the Menu button down while it powers on to access that factory menu.

are you getting any on-screen menus at all?

ninja edit: try holding both the SEL and MENU buttons down during power-up.

Thanks for your help guys. I figured it out. Here's what's going on. I am trying to replace the K7401 (which has a great picture and works just fine) that's currently in my Mame cab with the new D9200. I just wanted a digital chassis in there. The problem was that my resolution was 800x600 and I am told that it can't be higher that 640x480 in VGA or CGA mode for the chassis to receive it. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but I don't want my ArcadeVGA card to go that low. I like it at 800x600. When I hooked the D9200 up to my MK2, it worked perfectly, except I can't control Horizontal Width.

There is a Pot marked 'H Size' on the board as well as the settings through the remote board and neither one stretches the image.

I have to use the 'h-v adj' pot to fill the image on the screen but that scrunches the bottom of the image. I think a cap kit will fix that. It's strange.

Regardless, I at least got it working. I wanted to put it in the Mame cab, but I guess I'll just keep it in the MK2 because it looks better than what I have in there now.

Thanks again.

only adjustment pot that I know of and have actually used was the Raster Rotate one (incidentally, the raster rotated itself on my GOOD D9200) ... your problem looks like vertical linearity (looks tall on top, squished on bottom). I would gather on such an advanced chassis that there's a pot for that.

or a capkit, except that's what.... 400,000 caps for that thing? :p
