I need some help on a Wells Gardener D9200 issue on a Golden Tee.

I did a full cap kit on the chassis and neck board. All seemed to go well, but now I have a horizontal issue that wasn't there before. I tried to adjust the pincushion via the menus, but it makes no difference. I'm not sure where to start to hunt down the issue. I'm a pinball guy and have a lot of experience repairing boards, but mostly on pinball machines.

Hoping someone here can point me in a direction for what to look at.

Maybe more of a general question. My trapezoid and pincushion adjustments don't work. Yet, horizontal/vertical adjustments do work. I assume all of these features come from the neck board, not the yokes?

I tried reseating cables and did a factory reset on the monitor, same result. I'm very handy with a soldering iron so I'm confident in my cap replacement, wondering if there's a cold solder joint I aggregated in the process. I guess the ext step will be to pull both boards and do a deeper inspection of my work, and existing solder joints.

Was hoping someone knew what controls the trapezoid / pincushion features, or what area of the boards handle what I'm seeing. The schematics leave a LOT to be desired.

If this issue was not present before you did the rework, you need to go back and verify you have all the correct values in the correct locations. It's quite easy to put a 2.2uf in place of a 22uf and vice/versa.

I'm going to pull the board and go over everything. That being said, I was super careful when swapping them, one at a time. I even noted where voltage values were different.

But, obviously something didn't go right. Wish there was a basic explanation somewhere of how the board works. The schematics are a bit tough to figure out.

Have you tried the Factory menu? Hold Down and Select on the adjustment board at the same time for a few seconds and it should automatically pop up

I did try that, no change.

I did find the WG Troubleshooting guide, and while it's brief, it does call out come transistors to check for pincushion. I reference that to the schematic and noted all of the caps in that circuit. I'll pull the board and take a close look at that area.
