Have a WG D9202 I'm repairing for someone. Got the monitor and it wasn't powering on, would just go right into HV shutdown. Had a whole whack of stuff out.

Replaced:

Yoke connectors
Q418
Q413
Q414
R462
R854

Now I have power but I'm left with Horizontal collapse (straight vertical line). Looking at troubleshooting guide it says: Q413, R462, R424, IC404,
R415, Q418 R462 (OPEN), R424 (SHORT)

Any other suggestions?
vr402 has good ground,R462 - 1 ohm, R415 - 22ohms, Can't seem to find R424 anywhere... any hints?

IC404 Reads:
Pin 1 - 3.75 VDC
Pin 2 - 0.64 VDC
Pin 3 - 0.25 VDC
Pin 4 - 2.04 VDC
Pin 5 - 0 VDC
Pin 6 - 0.3 VDC
Pin 7 - 20.65 VDC
Pin 8 - 5 VDC

need to know which part you replaced that check bad????

that's your clue your in the right area.

why don't you mention you have the 170vs to q413??

did you read any tips I mention in my notes.

they mention components found bad already.

and replacing one at a time, is not the correct approach

for this symptom, but which parts are bad that you already replaed??

d425 and d426 lift one end either one bad?

All of these parts were replaced because they were bad:
Yoke connectors
Q418
Q413
Q414
R462
R854

Q413 Has 170V
D425 and D426 are both good.

You really need to have a o-scope so you can confirm

what is working along the Horiz-scan circuit.

C438 and c475 can cause this, the yoke connector, I have seen a few times

all over heated and the wires too, need to clean the pins etc.

I have found t403 the Horiz-scan Transformer bad, it what drives the horiz-yoke windings.

R462 should have been open, Q404 the fast switching diode's should have been replaced

along with ic.

But with a o-scope it would be easy to confirm and move forward.

Q426 needs to be good.

Any parts now getting HOT?

Here's another thread with your symptoms.
