WGD9204 Flat Wells Gardner 27" Tri Sync Monitor

Hello,
Have a new monitor. It was only used about 12 hours and suddenly we lost brightness. You can adjust with the on screen menu, but it barely is much different.

I've attached pictures.
The flyback has three pots. One for focus, one not used (used for brightness on other models) and a factory glued pot (not sure what it's used for).

I'm not sure if there is anywhere else I can adjust this, but I'm assuming if it suddenly stopped brightness, it has to be something else. Anyone know the issue without responding "cap kit".

I did find something online with wells stating a Q408 resistor for no brightness. I can control brightness a little bit, but not much at all.

Pictures attached on full brightness and picture of the flyback.

Thx for any help.

that glued pot is your screen control. See if you can push it or wiggle it a little to get the brightness to come back.

I've seen those controls go bad and cause the exact problem your having. The only way to fix it was to replace the flyback.

You need to go into service mode. Hold down "Down" and "Select" together
until the service menu appears. Then go into the color palette adjust mode.
I don't remember the settings but you should be able to figure them out.

Once the picture is restored you need to save the settings by using
the recall option on the menu.

This is a common problem with this monitor, it randomly corrupts its
EEProm settings.

Flyback

So if I decided to buy a flyback, I'm kinda stuck. Seems like I can't find the one for this model. Every thing I find is specific for the older model. Is there really a difference? Is there really a major difference between one flyback and another??
