I may have an opportunity to buy a Cyclone pin. Haven't seen it yet but I've been told the rings are new, it's fully functional but I'm assuming it is very very used. At one point in recent years it has been owned by a coin op. I bought my 78 EK from a coin op and the playfield is almost beyond repair.
Thoughts on a price?

Depending on how much you like the game and/or how much you like to gamble...

CPR is running the repro playfield right now. There may be some better looking used PF's out there in a few months. Or may be able to get one of CPR's secondhand, seconds, or if people don't fulfill their preorder may have some extras.

This was the game that I grew up on. My dad bought one when I was like 10, and we had it in our gameroom for a few years. Worked great until my idiot brother decided to slide the glass down and rack himself up a real good score by letting the pop bumpers fire a million times. I'm guessing with my knowledge now that he fried the coils...would've been an easy fix but instead of fixing it, my dad ended up selling it. :(

Definitely like to get me a Cyclone as well. Like Frax stated, CPR is doing a playfield so that's a plus - now if they do Comet!

Make sure the ramps are presentable are in decent condition. They're no repros out there (sold out). Occasionally , you see Cyclone ramps on ebay but usually you get a lot of competition!

I'm still not sure on why Cyclone and Comet ramps are not being reproduced again - anybody know? I can't tell you how many WTB posts I see looking for these ramps...

Good luck!

Pretty much all of them have some playfield wear at the top and on the right inlane.

The ferris wheel is a common issue and so is the prize wheel that spins on the back box. The spook house plastic is often broken because is is attached kind of akwardly.

There can also be mylar coming off the playfield issues.

A nice example ready to play should be about $1000, tops.

Well I paid $1100 for mine and I'm a cheapskate. But this one was very close to perfect, except for the slingshot plastics ($25 to replace). It may have been a home use pin, by the looks of it. Sometimes, I wish these things had physical coin meters in them like videos...

Thanks guys. All good information to know ahead of time. I suspect that the playfield is in fairly rough shape, and knowing how reasonable this guy is I think he will offer at a fair price. I'll let you know if I end up with it.
