For what it's worth, I bought a complete working one about a year ago in pretty mint condition for $2500
One of these days I'll try and get around to it! Not having the equipment and being super busy with the fam. makes it hard!Man I wish you'd scan the players tournament marketing paperwork!.. And the Tournament Ed Manuals/Schematics too.
Agree to this! This was a beast to get in! Is a super cool cab though and fun game and the TE is pretty hard to come by. Shipping wasn't too bad actually through grab and go (I think around $400). Most likely will never get rid of unless I stumble across a Super Tecmo Bowl! Before you get too excited about that price you need to realize that he bought a completely mint restored Tournament game. While yours does appear to be in good shape, it's not the Tournament Ed game or the same condition. There's a LOT of work that goes into overhauling a dual monitor 4 stick monster like that.
This is a BIG game and not many folks want to deal with or can handle big games. Shipping is also more expensive because these ship by dimensional weight where size is king. The size and shipping costs erode available buyers. There tends to be a small but dedicated following for this game and if you find the right buyer you can sell it for good money, even when shipping is involved. But understand that you may not make a quick sale. Though being in CA should help with overall availability of buyers.
It took me 4 years to get mine (just over a year ago). During that time I saw many of these come up for sale in the New England area and beyond, from a low of ~$400 to a high of the above. All but a handful were outside of my travel dist or I couldn't act fast enough. The great majority of them sold between $700 and $1k in all states of condition. I payed $500 but the game had miles on it. The cab was dropped at some point and has damage, wasn't working, needed monitor and joystick rebuilds. etc. A decent project.
Good luck if you decide to move it on.
Thank you for the information that's very helpful, i've been getting a few prices here n there, I guess this is just one of these games, but yeah it's definitely huge & heavy. Before you get too excited about that price you need to realize that he bought a completely mint restored Tournament game. wowAnd a beast indeed! Even with the control boxes removed my front screen door was sacrificed for the greater good.

wow $500 for the project cabinet that's cool, this one is pretty much all in tact but untested. My project standard edition, no montiors, missing a speaker and speaker grill, working before montiors were removed was about $500. Cab was in fair condition and a bit gross. It was super expensive to ship because its double sized. Took me a year to find.
Its kind of an odd duck in terms of what it goes for. Its very fun, rare, huge but also not for everybody?
You can check out my slow progressing restore thread if you are curious about it.
Hope you bring it back or it finds a good home!
