Custom Vac forming available

You know what else would be awesome,Computer space and Bubbles/blaster cabs.

yes those would be cool as hell. Sadly the size of those is too big for my machine... I would need one they make hot tubs with!

-Pole Position Dash Shrouds (with or without cig burns)
-Williams and Taito Monitor Bezels (specially Taito bezels with the 3 light bulb holes, as most of them are brittle and cracked)
-Star Wars upright shrouds/bezels
-Sega Turbo/Monaco GP cockpit seats

Show me some pics. The seats are too large for me to do as my table is not that large. The rest should be cake..

There are some plastic parts on OutRun games that would probably be good candidates for this. Not sure if you can match the color, but the gray plastic piece behind the control panel is often cracked, and the gray plastic around the monitor often has cigarette burns. There was a guy on here from Europe that reproduced these parts but he wanted something crazy like $250 each for them.

Send me some pics and lets see what we can do. the parts can be painted if done in white to match. A custom run of plastic is insane to have color matched. It costs me $3500 for 2500 lbs. I dont think we would ever sell that many of those parts! Sadly...

But send me pics!

And for those wanting to know about stomrtrooper suits, OR X wing helmets that will sit nicely with your Star Wars arcade game to wear when you attack the death star, PM me!

OK Guys, several things. Be reasonable, saying a blaster cab, cmon. If someone says small molds, then i say keep the ideas within that frame.

Also, nothing against the OP, but with no history on the group, you have to earn some respect around here before some people will trust you. Nothing against the OP, i dont know you, so you could be a great guy, but then again, we dont know.

I have a part here that i know has a decent demand and has not ben reproduced as far as i know. I started to get the ball rolling on it myself and just ran out of time. But i have an Irobot control panel that would be ideal for a small piece that many have been broken over the years. I also have a few i-robot cabinets that were converted that could use new panels to be restored

id love to get my i-robot cp done, but i can honestly say that i would not send it to anyone that has no history on here. Now i would gladly sell mine to you for a premium price, have you make the items, see the quality, then i would buy my original one back at the same price that i sold it to you for, this way i know that i wouldnt be scammed out of my hard to find piece

I have to agree, there are lots of theremoformers out there big & small and just as many prototype shops that do this. Stick with the pros or those that do this professionally, a lot of the older arcade \ pinball parts were made from wood patterns (old school). Very few were machined, if you want that high end part, then more than likely your tooling is going to be machined. Guys keep in mind plastic costs money (usually cost attributed by the lbs.) and a minimum order is required, the heavier the gauge the more the cost. Sample machines can be efficient, but they tend to waste material. Production tooling is the way to go, you may pay for the tooling, but that tooling is going to last, and the parts are of production quality. The piece price will offset that when you sell them. Remember these parts were made in the 80's, and like most fanatics, it's the end product that counts and more than likely it's going to end up on your machine.

I know this may sound odd, but I thought I would offer my services here. I have the ability to make many things and I do custom vac forming.. Why offer it here? Simple.. there are somethings that were vac formed in ABS and also HIPS that went onto arcade game cabinets. Such as, the back trays you see for monitor necks that extend past the cabinet.

Do you have a rare one you need to have duplicated and a mold made? I can do that. I have over 15 years of making molds, sculpting and also high end costume making. How about monitor bezels.. I can do a run of those as well and make them cheap enough too. I have included a pic of some of the costumes I made. I am a professional and will treat your items (originals) as gold and no damage will be incurred at all to make a master mold. I am fair and honest too!

take a look and if you would like to start a run, please contact me!

I, Robot CP's

And I'm +1 myself on this one (actually Troy already mentioned it.

I'd buy 3 right off myself.

If you can reproduce the plastic space shuttle toy from the pinball machine you could sell a ton of them. On my to do list is to build a small vacuum table just to make one for myself.

i have to ask, are you by chance a 501st or rebel legion member? you should see about getting a x-wing or y-wing helmet and see if anyone in RL would want to do some runs or make some kits, they are always looking for more helmet sources :)

I wonder if Spy Hunter cockpit seat backs would be a good run. I've got 2 cockpits and both have cracked seats. With Rich @ ThisOldGame in Oregon City doing cockpit artwork, this might go along well with that. Plus you and I are in the same city so that would make it convenient (I'm Jeff from PAC if you haven't figured that out), and could help you establish some history for those who are leery of dealing with a newcomer. :)

P.S. I've taken a stab at setting up a hobby-ish vacuum forming table and didn't have much luck on my first couple of tries. If you make it over to my place sometime, maybe you could give me some tips. :)

The piece that goes on the back of ice cold beer and zekes peke playfield would sell. I have seen a few of these with cracks in them. It would probably be fairly complicated to make the mold for it.

Tron Shroud, especially the window piece.

FYI - takeman reproduced the back door bubble for Gorf and other Midway cabs a few years back. Super thick, super quality. I still have at least 3 of them on hand and I would imagine more are floating around. Not trying to throw water on the fire because a good thermo forming source would be great to have, but research what's been done first.
