I've heard of people doing this using real arcade parts(Happ sticks, microswitch buttons, ETC.) but I can't seem to find any plans. I wana make this out of real arcade parts so I can use it for my PC's joystick and SF4, MVC 3, ETC. Since I had to mess with my X-men control panel alot I thought this would be a fun project(plus I can learn more about wiring things)

Do you guys know where to go? I roughly know what parts to get but the wiring schematic eludes me...

Are you talking about some sort of Mame setup? You can use certain things like the Ipac2 / Ipac4 / Jpac (I'm sure there's others) to convert micro switch signals to keyboard strokes basically..

You can use any type of joysticks / buttons of your choosing with any of these.

interesting but I was going for making my own usb stick(needs to be found as generic USB) to use with PS3/PC/Xbox 360 for multiple games(I've seen alot of these). I saw something on taking the guts out of an old controller for this but I'm still confused...I guess it's back to google...

You might want to check out hte Shoryuken forums, as there is a lot of good info there:

A lot of folks either hack a controller/gamepad ("padhack") or existing fight stick, or use something like the ZD Encoder sold by Vigo over at BYOAC (good guy, BTW):

or the Multi-Console Cthuhlu:

or you can just buy a Hori HRAP (Real arcade pro), which is made with Seimitsu or Sanwa parts, depending on model.
