I've been envious of some of the nicer stools seen in some of the KLOV member's arcades and wanted to upgrade the flimsy, don't sit down too hard on stools I had with some metal/chrome ones with swivel tops.

I couldn't believe how expensive a decent stool is! So that got me thinking about having some custom ones made. Pricing out custom printed stools wasn't that much more and I thought an extra nice touch to the arcade. So I commissioned an artist to draw up several designs for a bar stool top and went with 2 of the designs:

And the other design:

Don't mind the washout of the flash or reflection of the flash hitting the chrome. The printing is quite well done! Very happy with the quality of the stool itself. And the white or lighter areas of the printing glow in the black light some too!

Here's a full shot of one of the stools:

Is it going too far? Maybe, I don't care. I think they looks pretty sweet and you know no one else will have them!

HOLY SHIT!

That is incredible! I had no idea that was something that could be done. Looks amazing. A+++++++++. Just thinking of the possiblities makes my mouth water.

I you you sure it's not the schween swinging in your face like a banana on a string?

OOps, I thought I was responding to Fritz. Apologies.

Hold on, let me pull the weiner-shnitzel outta my ear.....

...uhh....

ok.
What's that?

Damn, that's incredible! Where can you get these things custom printed? I've been trying to find decent priced stools for a long time and I'd definately go this route as well.

That is very cool. Did you have that done someplace local to you?

Do you know if it is possible to get a cover only rather than a complete stool? I have a couple of really nice barstools that say Toyota on them. It would be nice to be able to get them recovered.

The stools weren't cheap, but not crazy expensive either. $85 each shipped. The shop that did them is in Florida.

They do bar stool covers as well. I had thought about going that route, but still couldn't find a decent stool for a good price.

There are probably cheaper places for the covers only, I don't know. While communications were a bit sparse, they did do good work, and quickly. I got the stools in under 2 weeks from placing the order

The stools themselves are of decent quality, the chrome is okay, scuffs here and there.. The swivel is stiff, but smooth and the padding of the seat is a firm, comfortable foam. I think 14 inches wide.

EXCELLENT! Those turned out REALLY nice. I did the pour on epoxy over wood for mine...but if I ever go the padded route...these are the ticket.....

This company did the custom cover also? $85 is a great price if that is the case.

OK, I see it here:

I looked up the stools you did and wow! Those are very slick! I had thought about going with the wood seat, but prefer a bit of padding. Nice work though!

$85 for everything, and its not a cover, its the actual stool seat so it doesn't slide around or off the stool.

I need 2 for a cocktail machine. 29 inches would be a bit high, unless I raised the cocktail height. Do they offer shorter stools, say 18-20"?

Thanks! Mine were the cheap route and took some time to create. Coming in a little less than $30 per stool (29" version) and about $24 for the small cut down stool (12") finished as you see them.

When I go for the 'high end' set up like yours and am ready for a marathon session...I think padded would be a nice choice. Surprising...the wood stools are very comfortable to use and a perfect height for an adult. I picked up mine at Target...

The shorty's I made were originally 24".....they are $14.99 at Target. You can cut them down to any height you want....but no fancy padding!.....;)

Oh I could make some fancy padding. I also have some pink chiffon for around the edges and some glittery sequins for the--I mean, non-padded would be fine my good man.

I've not seen short chrome stools, as I need 2 myself for my Mr. Do! cocktail. I tried to raise the cocktail, but it doesnt go high enough

I had to do the same thing Alan did and cut down some wood 29 inch stools
