Custom Arcade Machine

problem with the happ joysticks only, and only for fighting games, they dont work good for me like the other sticks I had before.
for all other games are fine

If your joysticks are top mounted that might be why you were having problems. Are you using the metal CP mounting method?

Seems very functional, and not way over the top... I'd certainly play that. IMO I'd ditch the TV and go for a real VGA monitor though (largest CRT you can find)... TVs look pretty crappy, since their inputs are low quality compared to RGB.

His TV is 15 khz RGB just like an arcade monitor. European TVs have SCART connectors that are RGB, so he doesn't need to replace anything.

joysticks are bottom mounted,I wouldnt dare to top mount the competitions
the seimitsu clones I was using before were top mounted and have 2 big square holes on my wood.
so to cover the holes I left the metal plates of the old joysticks on the wood and bottom mount the competitions.I was lucky that the competitions mount bases are bigger than the holes I have so they fit perfectly

as Tighe says european crt tvs have scart connection and using it with a special vgatoscart cable and a special software called soft15khz,you can have equal results with an arcade monitor,so there is no need for a real arcade monitor for us living in europe,we are lucky on that
(only on that though, because cabs are hard to find here and expensive)

thank you all for your comments, good or bad its ok :)

Oh yeah... I forgot about the Europeans w/ their awesome SCART... why didn't the US catch onto that idea? :p

I don't know how true this is, but I did hear from a reliable source that in Europe they opted to go for a higher quality image rather than jump to color faster...

Of course, I really have no idea.

As for the machine, I think it's nice and clean. Definetely not a crap fest. I'm sure you're going to be getting a larger screen for it soon enough.
