Sigh. So I saw this project cocktail that looked really nice in Knoxville, TN a few days ago and went into 'infatuation' but my stupid internal voice of reason kept blocking me from making it through 'justification' to get to 'acquisition'. (I am heading out on a road trip next week so it would have added ONLY 6 hours to my trip)

It made me sad to see it go for cheap. Thanks again, voice of reason, you suck.

Eh, Midway cocktails are super common, you will snag one local if you just wait around a bit.

So what was the final bid? No eBay number for me to look it up and once they are done it won't show in search.

That was it, $31... no sniping, no last minute bids, no drama... I was almost disappointed.

Ja, midway cocktails do seem to be available more frequently (just not for $31), I've got 3 project ones in waiting for me to have some time this summer.

I just had to laugh, when I realized I was thinking "6 hours isn't that far for a project machine, is it?" that I have gone off the deep end.

I bet it smells like barn lovin'. Does that make you feel better about not wasting 6 hours on it?

6 hours = $100 gas in a pickup.

Heh, that sounds like the voice of reason! :)

I tried to sabotage myself by meeting up with the family for dinner, but still got home with 40 minutes to spare!

Actually I was really surprised, I put the item on uship a couple of days ago to see if I got any bids. I had a guy with really good rating offer white glove service for $190. So if you figure $100 for gas + 6 hours of my life, then it really wasn't a bad offer.

I feel ya. I'm working on my first cocktail this summer, a SEGA/Gremlin Frogger. Not looking forward to tracking down the parts for this sucker...starting with a monitor.

I have one of those.

I've not dug into it, but it blows the 5A fuse when you power it on. Otherwise, the only thing it's missing is the 1up and 2up buttons, which I've gotten a lead or two on but haven't gotten yet.

There's a fellow selling all the internals (but not the monitor). http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=236874&highlight=frogger+cocktail

What monitor does your have in it? Gotta track one down for mine.
