I got a few cabinets down in climate controlled storage in Cypress[Houston], TX that I would like at some point shipped or dragged in a box truck up to my current home in Charleston, WV.
Its about 1200 miles so you can see my difficulty with moving stuff like this especially when they take up a decent amount of space.

2x Virtual on Cybertroopers cabinets [sit down - nonremovable chairs]
2x Hydro Thunder cabinets [sit down - removable chairs]
1x Konami 4 Player cabinet
1x Gauntlet Legends
1x Capcom Q GrandAm 25

It's a decent amount of cabinets and I couldn't of fit all of that with all my stuff when I moved up here cause I had a Honda FL350 buggy in the truck too.
Can't imagine the pricing right now on shipping, one way rental truck was $1600 in 2022, not including fuel and some of the issue with that was they aren't diesel trucks with Uhaul. Maybe Penske?

Penske buys new trucks then sells them to UHaul at the end of two years or something. I've not seen them use diesel trucks, but maybe?

The best deals I've seen are one-way rentals trucks by the day. You drive continually with one or two people, put more miles on them than expected. As you note your problem right now will be gas prices.

Check with Brad Fraley, he might give you a rate for a half truck load on a loose schedule
