Cue Ball Wizard Drop Target Switch - fix or replace?

Hey folks,

New to this stuff, though an Engineer by trade, so hopeful the domain experts here have some good advice for me. I've owned this machine (Cue Ball Wizard) for a few years. It's played great, but repairs are starting to be required. Just fixed a broken flipper/actuator. Now I have a multifunctioning switch -- it's for a drop target. When the target drops, it's not detected. Is it possibly just dirty? Or is this the kind of item you typically replace?

Any advice is welcome?

thanks.

Pat

That is a neat pin. Not many have them. 2 or 3 on VAPs I think. You would have better luck posting your queastion in the pinball secton or the help secton.

You shouldn't have to replace anything. Ensure that the wires are soldered on well and not broken off and clean the switches with a 'business card' or flexstone from PBR: http://pbresource.com/tools.html. Also, visually check that the switch contacts are indeed making contact when closed and separated when open.
