CrystalCade on sale now only $8,995.00

I remember watching some Computer Chronicals shows... Some of the first 'laptops' had a monochrome Plasma screen.

I still have one. It has an incredibly beefy 286 processor in it and almost a MEG of memory. I'm not sure laptop is the right word for it though, lug-gable is more appropriate....:D

Really? I have CRTs that can do QXGA that are probably close to 10 years old. The "HD" TV's you buy in stores are a ripoff in reality, and 1080P is pretty piss-poor from a "computing" standpoint, I've run "better" than 1080P on my PC for over a decade...

TV's simply don't need that kind of resolution, so it's not there. The cost point is nothing more than a cash-cow. Plasma screens have been around FAR longer than they've seen the consumer market btw, decades longer. Shhh guys like Sony don't want you to know this.

I'm no resolution expert by any means, but I was being kinda general in my post. I mean you could say 1280x1024 is high definition compared to 640x480 or whatever. I mean, do you really think those screens are 2560x1600?

Yeah, I was going to put that in there. Most of the ones with Plasma screens had to be plugged into the wall still.

let me just say this isnt the first time i have seen this retarded pos, and the computer style speakers on top kill any small glimmer of hope you have of convincing any non douchetastic retard that this thing is a arcade machine.....

ooh i mean surround sound...... HD!

you will never see one of these for sale by any respectable arcade dealer/collector

To each his/her own I suppose.

Not a big fan, especially at this price that they are proposing. However, I've always wondered what Berzerk sounds like through THX Certified Speakers.....lol...

Plus you can play Tiger Woods golf....according to the video.....

I don't understand the metal frame around the whole thing... A frame around the base, around the CP and around the back (for hinges for the door), are all they really need. The rest of the cabinet can be sealed with WeldOn and would look much better ... I think that's how you word it... would look less crappy?

Either way... POS.

....I searched for this....so I hope it has not been posted 1000 times! ;)

Wow. Just wow. I'd expect to see one of these on craigs for $3K with the words "rare" and "It's broke and it's just a fuse" in the text! :)

It is legit to use the term High Definition on anything at 1280x720 and higher. That is the resolution of 720p and is considered HD. That is why you want to know the resolution and not care so much about marketing terms like HD.
