I think those things look sweet as hell. I almost built a cab out of translucent acrylic, until I saw it had already been done by these guys. The lighting is kick-ass too. Not sure why everyone hates these, but they sure seem to. Did anyone see that news story done at an arcade game convention in about 81-83? The one where they have the demo kit cabinet made out of 3/4 inch thick clear acrylic sheets soes you can see the innards? Awesome.

Yeah, I saw that. What would be cool would be to actually find that cab if it still exists, because you'd have actual video of that same exact cab from the convention. That would rock.

What is the point of the lights? They seem to be incredibly distracting and annoying if you are playing a game. The price is obscene. Is it running their own software and licensed games or some MAME variant?

For that price, they should really make their sales video higher resolution.

Am I the only one who doesn't like use of 'game' as a verb? I like to 'play games'. I never say I like to game or gaming. OK, now that that has been said back to your originally scheduled program.

Phet I saw a website about a year ago were I guy had done this with a pac cab and it looked cool. He was also in the process of doing a pinball the same way. For some reason i think he had also done a Ms. Pac cabaret and thats why i found the site when I was searching for some cabarets. Ive been looking for it again but cant remember how I found the site.

There is definitely a working plexi Ms. Pac still around. Saw it at a game show in Philly about 4 years ago.

I love how they spray HIGH RESOLUTION all over the page but never say what it really is....
I never seen a high definition 4:3 size screen. Unless they twist the high definition definition....

Really? I have CRTs that can do QXGA that are probably close to 10 years old. The "HD" TV's you buy in stores are a ripoff in reality, and 1080P is pretty piss-poor from a "computing" standpoint, I've run "better" than 1080P on my PC for over a decade...

TV's simply don't need that kind of resolution, so it's not there. The cost point is nothing more than a cash-cow. Plasma screens have been around FAR longer than they've seen the consumer market btw, decades longer. Shhh guys like Sony don't want you to know this.
