the trackball for my crystal castles goes in the the opposite direction that you send it (i.e. left is right, up is down, etc.). Is there a dip switch setting to change this or do i just need a new trackball? please help. DRIVING ME CRAZY. much appreciated. keep gaming.

Ben

Swap the two Molex connectors to the trackball and rotate the trackball housing 90 degrees.

perhaps i need to clarify. it seems as though the controls are inverted. i have tried switching the connections to the trackball but to no avail. i'll try again and post as soon as i have results. thanks.

Did you by chance buy a new trackball from Arcade Shop? I had the same problem on my Crystal Castles, but only with left and right. Up and down were correct.

It turns out that they wired the left/right optic board wrong at the factory. A friend of mine figured it out. He pulled the Molex connector and swapped the wires that were backwards. Worked perfectly after that.

I'm telling you man, flip it 180 Degrees and you're good. Take your mouse (that is currently in your hand) flip it 180 degrees and use it. Is it the same?

connections or installation

Yup, same thing happened to me.. First was the arcadeshop parts were screwed up from the factory.. Then I installed it backwards.. It's annoying, but prolly just the connections or you installed it incorrectly.. I've owned 4 of these, and had the same issues more than once after rebuilding or swapping out a trackball.
