Can anyone school me on the different kinds of Crystal Castles cabinets?

I sold one of two Crystal Castles CPs I had to a Klover and received an e-mail back asking what cabinet the control panel I sent came from.

I assume he has an upright but he told me that the CP I sent him is 1-1/2" short on top.

I'm pretty sure that the second CP I still have is the same dimensions as the one I sent him. (I measure about 7", 3", and 5-1/2" on the top, front, and bottom, respectively).

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Edit: I think I see what might be the problem. I looks like there are two different versions of the Crystal Castles cabinet. (See second picture).

Atari also made kits to convert Dig Dug type cabs and those cp's would be different as well.

the cab on the left is the only upright dedicated CC. If the panels you have go to that cab then you have sold the person the correct part and they have a conversion of some sort. If this is not the case then it's likely the opposite is true and you have two identical conversion panels which i find odd but possible.

Yes, the 2nd cabinet is missile command. I have an NOS marquee for that kit..

I have the marquee of the crystal castles that was in a tempest cabinet.. I had the control panel too, but sold it recently..

Yeah I've never even heard of any kits to convert a Tempest cab either. I can only assume with many probably having monitor failures, some ops wanted to switch it to a more reliable game.

Thanks for posting the pix! At least the conversion looks like it was tastefully done.

The cabinet on the right looks like a Missile Command conversion and a dedicated on the left.

Yes, that is definitely the same cabinet as Missile Command. I didn't know that Atari released C,C, kits for that cabinet.

1) Did Crystal Castles share the same control panel with any other game?

2) Can anyone give me the dimensions of a Missile Command or Centipede control panel? (As I mentioned the Crystal Castles control panels I sold and still have are 7" x 3" x 3-1/2" on the top, front, and bottom, respectively).

And who makes the best C.C. CP artwork?

Thanks.
