Hey, does anyone know if it is possible to hook a standard res monitor up to a crusin usa cabinet?

i just put a lcd with the rgb to vga adapter on location
looks better than the med res
i am in the same boat as you, i cant find a med res anywhere for my cruisin, i am buying a 26 inch tv from walmart.com for 209$ that has vga connection and using that with the converterHow cheap can you get a 26" lcd screen?
Sorry for the late reply, I just finally got some time for this project again and the cheapest screen I can find is 300.
Do you have a broken med-res? If it's a WG version, I can fix it for way less than $300 - or even $160 in most cases. The last one I fixed came to about $90 total (with return shipping)...
The monitor I currently have is broken and has very bad image burn. Thankyou for the offer though. The cheapest iv seen a 26" lcd localy is 220.do you guys think that is a fiar price?

Are you interested in selling your broken one along with the yoke? I wouldn't need the tube itself.
So, I just checked medium frequencies and it is already 25k.
Can I just run it without using the converter board?
How would I add sync and ground?
You'll still need the board. And if that is the same board I have, I hope you read chinese. It took me like an hour to figure how to change the OSD to english. But, it works great for me.
If you're still interested in getting rid of your old one, PM me with a price.
I have it in English, It just wont work at all for some reason. I tried the 3 different auto configures, and 2 different monitors.
I'll take a look at mine tomorrow. I've only used it with standard res games, but I think it should auto-detect the resolution.
It works with my standard res games to. But, curin usa already runs at 24k and the device upgrades to 25k. So, the device is useless then.
Cruisin' runs at med-res(25k). The adapter is changing it to vga(31k). It should detect that you have an EGA signal hooked up, but if not you need to press the autoscan button. Are you using the five pin input plug on the board?
