I picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago, and this is a really fun game to play. I played a couple of games with the motion working, but it hasn't worked since. This seems like a very hard game to keep running...mostly because there is not much information available.

I do have two manuals for this version of the game, but I don't have a scanner. Does anyone here know of a place I could get these manuals scanned without destroying them? They don't seem to be available online anywhere, and I would hate to own one of these without the manuals.

If you have one of these, or know something about these monsters, please post here so I can try to get as much information about it as possible. The motion on this game definitely improves the experience of playing Cruis'n USA. I haven't heard of very many of these that actually have working motion, so it would be great if we can gather enough information to try to get some of these working again.

Mine is missing a lot of the stickers. If anyone can scan the stickers so they can be reproed, please let me know. I will pay you for your time.

I had one for a few months when it was brand new, but that was so long ago. As with any motion game, the first items to check are the limit switches, positional potentiometer (so it knows its own tilt position - these wear out just like steering and pedal pots) and motor brushes, which can be removed and inspected from the motor cylinder with a simple screwdriver.

past that, i'd start checking for proper voltage outputs from the motor driver board.

I would guess the problems are related to sensors and maybe the positional pots. It worked perfectly for 2 games, so I think the inputs are good, but it could be intermittent problems with a connection cable. I am really hoping the wear parts are available, which was the main reason I started this thread...to try to collect any known information about this game.

Whoa! I hadn't seen one of those. Pretty darn cool. Wonder if you could switch games in it?

I was really hoping that would work, but I don't think it will. Cruis'n World has no motion menu in config, and the motion(seat) in Exotica operates differently than this one.

BTW, not sure if you can tell by the picture, but this thing is huge! 4' X 8' plus you need to leave a little room in every direction for the motion. The wall that was planned to hold 8 - 10 games will now only hold 5...and I need to find somewhere else to put the beer fridge. lol

Do you happen to know how many of these were made? It seems to be less than 500, but I am not sure how much less. I have also been told that they originally sold for $18,500. Do you know if that is true?

I want to say it was 200 of those that they made. I don't know how much they cost when they came out as I never bothered to ask when I was working there.
