Hi: I'm new to this forum, so hopefully, I have posted this question/thread in the correct place:
I recently acquired two linked Cruis'n Exoctic sit down arcade units.
For some reason, the speed/acceleration is slower on 'the slave' unit for all of the vehicles.
The cars on the 'master' unit reach speeds of approx. 30km higher than the cars on the attached linked unit at top speed.
Also: when I go to calibrate the steering wheel on the same 'slave' unit, it doesn't seem to calibrate perfectly straight. In other words, if I calibrate it 'straight' then during game play, it won't allow for full right turns. However, if I calibrate if slightly angled to the left of straight, it seems to help to remedy this particular problem. Is this a problem with the steering wheel not being aligned properly?
Any help on either of the above would be greatly appreciated.

I cant think of the damn name for the life of me but there is a sensor on the pedal that is used for the speed. I had to adjust this before on some linked Daytonas to get the speed closer to being equal. Its called a pot which is short for potometer. <I think I spelled it right>
This could be your problem. One might be newer then the other and someone has it a bit off.
Its got a gear looking thing on the pedal assembly that is grooved and turns the edge of the sensor. You could try loosing it and adjusting to make it closer to the speed of the other car.

When you adjust your going to be either allowing iit to move slightly less or more depending on if your adding speed or decreasing speed.

Im not a tech expert and this may make no sense at all. Im just posting this hoping someone else can make it clearer but if not you have a little something.

potentiometer

i am not an expert at all but potentiometer make sance to me too for more acurete resault
you can test the voltage ( with a voltimeter )your pot give you on yours machine and adjust it until they match

have fun they are great machine i just loved the crusin serie

i never worked on that specific unit and sorry for my terible english

Check to see if both pots are the same value. I believe they are 5K. Also make sure the brake is not locked on. I have one here that plays fine but once in awhile the car will slow down on it's own. I noticed when it happens the brake lights come on on the car.

Thanks members for your suggestions. I will check them out.
Before reading these, when I was re-calibrating the steering wheel last night; and it requested to calibrate it straight, I did so to a slightly more left angle. Consequently, when I played the game the vehicles were able to achieve a much better right turn ability and the speed of the cars improved as well.
As such, does anyone know if adjusting the calibration of the steering will affect the speed of the vehicles (ie: allow for them to go faster)?
Thanks again!
