I'm trying to burn a new set of 2.4 Exotica ROMS. I have the Willem burner with the 16bit DIP42 adapter. It never blank checks. I have had my chips in the UV eraser for over 3 hours! It's a cheap China one but it has worked in the past for smaller chips. Any ideas? Thanks.

Three options really

The ROMs are bad (unlikely but possible)

The Willem is crap (this is well known) and doesn't really like these chips.

The ROMs are also destroyed after 3 hours in the eraser.

Bingo ...

30 minutes is really the max you should leave your eproms under UV light

...and the Willem is probably not the best for those eproms either.

If you've got more eproms (...other than the cooked ones...)
send them to me and I can program them for you.

Cheers,
Steph

Thanks Steph. I think I will order some new ROMS. I may send them to you for programming. (What do you charge?) Do you know why the one board I have has 8 EPROMS when the other board only has 2? Also, the one board has a chip in U21 & U22 the other board doesn't. Like I said before both boards worked great independently. Thanks for your help.
