Cruisin USA shifter works in diagnostics but not in game

Hi, I have an Off-road Challenge upright that I just put a Cruisin USA board in. The board seems to work OK, but the shifter doesn't work correctly in game. Gears 1 & 2 are swapped, and 3 & 4 don't work at all. However, in the diagnostic switch test menu, all for gears work fine. The shifter also works fine with my Off-road Challenge board.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Thanks!

Check the shift switch wiring. I think Cruising USA needs the switches wired as normally closed.

Edit - or the other way around. The manual I have is incomplete. If you are in test
mode and all the switches show red except the position the gear is in, then the
switches are wired wrong.

I put a World board in an Exotica cabinet a few weeks ago and had the same
problem you described.

Hey PCJphn
So is the only issue of putting an Exotica board into a World/USA cabinet (upright) just switching the NO/NC wiring on the gear shift switches?

There's more to it than just a board swap. The pins for the steering, brake and
gas pots are on different positions on the connector. The shift switches for Exotica
are on the JAMMA connector but are on a separate connector for World and USA.
