I am helping someone fix vertical deflection collapse on their Cruisin monitor, but I cannot determine what monitor it has (to order the correct cap kit). I looked at the chassis and it is clearly a WG with a Zenith tube, but couldn't find a model #, outside of a number like 1204594 or some such. It is the sitdown version and the manufacturer date is Jan 1996. I haven't paid much attention to these games over the years, but I am suspecting the game is a converted Cruisin USA to World (found the USA marquee inside). The cabinet looks as follows. Were Cruisin USA games still made into 1996? I am assuming the monitor is original...

Any help is appreciated.

Common problem with that monitor. WG had several "fix it" kits that were released to try and deal with it. Happ/Suzio still has them listed, I believe.

Yes vintage would have originally shipped with a Wells-Gardner U-5000 for sure.
Thanks for the responses, fellows. Just what I needed.

I found that chassis on Bob Roberts site and it is what I saw (the small video input cable gave it away). Thanks to everyone that responded.

I am still searching the Happ/Suzio page for the "fix it" kits, assuming it is something more/other than a regular cap kit (Which I have on order now from Bob Roberts).

As I've mentioned lots of times in the past, there are three "Service Kits" made for the U-2000/U-5000 monitors to correct the numerous problems plaguing these models.

Vertical Sweep kit

Horizontal Output kit

Power Supply upgrade kit

Hey Ken, wouldn't it be cheaper for him to use a k7500 chassis on that tube/yoke. Solves the problems with much less work? -Malcolm

No No No No No!

The yoke on a k7500 is very different than the U5000. Wells-Gardner even sent out a bulletin regarding this.
