CRT how it's made

I've never seen that at all. But damn, that was interesting. It makes me think that a neck'd CRT *could* be fixed, though. It would take some work, and the same special tools used to make it in the first place, but there's no reason(aside from expense) that it wouldn't work.

Agreed. Made me have a new respect for these things..
 
i think there's a later How It's Made that shows how the tubes are made for consumer televisions and monitors. So it goes into the shadow mask and different phosphor paints, etc. Still pretty neat to see.
